Meet Jesse Griffin:
Licensed School Counselor, Social Worker, Ordained Minister, and Student Chaplain
Jesse Griffin M.Ed. is a licensed school counselor with PreK-post-secondary teaching and tutoring experience. From a young age she has been passionate about mental health, her faith, and learning all she can about life! She began her education at Northern Arizona University, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Social Work with a Vocal Performance minor. She eventually transferred to Brigham Young University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. That next fall she began the Master's of Education program for School Counseling through Utah State University. She loved jumping into school counseling at the elementary school level after completing a practicum and internship at the junior high and high school levels respectively. While she misses school counseling, this big step to teach in her own program is one she's really excited about! As a certified social services worker, she finds great joy in helping others find order and comfort in their lives. She is also in the process of becoming a licensed chaplain to be able to more fully help honor and harmonize others' nurture their spirituality and meaning-making. She is an ordained minister and loves offering non-denominational pre-marital counseling, and officiating weddings!

Why "Daylily"?
Jesse has always loved nature and flowers. So it's especially lovely that as she was praying about how to use her education to bless her family and the community, the idea of starting an education program came to her in the image of a blooming flower- specifically a Stella De Oro Daylily. Stella De Oro means "Star of Gold", a reminder of the importance of providing a gold standard education as well as of the unique divinity of each child we teach.
